Car Top Handrail The Wurtec 18-4XX-EX Models have been designed andtested to withstand the load conditions specified in Ontario Regulation 209/01. The top of car handrail systems are designed to comply with all the requirements of the Canadian regulation listed including supporting 1.0 kN (225 lb) horizontal load and increasing the vertical height of the toe-board to 125 mm (4.91 inches). Additionally individual elements within the guard now support a load of 0.5 kN (112 lbs) over an area of 100 mm x 100 mm located at any point. Designed to comply with latest code revisions: ASME A17.1a - 2002, 2.14.1.7 and 2.10.2: Ontario Regulation 209/01 O.Reg. 350/06 of the building code act, 1992. |
Wall Inserts  Wurtec’s new insert has been designedspecifically for the elevator industry. It’s low profile allows it to be mounted easily on wood walls with drywall finish, embedded in block/concrete, or surface mounted wherever required. The standard hex head of a 5/8 bolt can be inserted into the channel at the notches provided. Once in the insert, the bolt will not turn.
